QPR Want to Sign David Beckham

Reports in the national press claim QPR’s new owner Tony Fernandes plans an ambitious, albeit audacious, swoop for the former Manchester United star and England captain.

The Malaysian tycoon reckons it will help Becks' Olympic dream and wants him at Loftus Road as soon as his MLS season ends with LA Galaxy.

Beckham, now 36, has made no secret of the fact he wants to play in the 2012 Games. Beckham will be out of contract with LA Galaxy at the end of America’s Major League Soccer season in November.

Could David Beckham be pulling on the blue and white hooped shirt of QPR later this season?

Great Goal Retold - Johan Elmander vs Wolves 2010

Elmander did not have much space when he swiveled inside the penalty area and wriggled away from Karl Henry and Steven Mouyokolo before finding a precise finish to beat Marcus Hahnemann and put Bolton 2-0 ahead.

Owen Coyle on Elmander's goal
"His goal was worthy of winning any game and it was as good as anything top strikers in the game would produce."

Sam Ricketts on Elmander's goal

“His goal against Wolves brought him national attention because it was a ridiculous goal. It has given him the recognition he deserves for the way he’s played this season.”
